Free Grant Money

Here is an excerpt from my page about grants: "Why is there a charge for this Free Grants information? .....do not charge for the grants but charge for the information. Countless hours are spent researching and compiling this information into something that the average person can use and to their benefit. The fees pay for the time, effort and the ongoing research. While one would love to simply give this information away for free that is simply not practical." Now you can always find this information yourself. 90% of all the information that I have about grant programs I have gotten online! The government has a website listing their current grant programs and they don't charge you for this information because quite frankly these grants are from taxpayer money. The government has to make this information freely accessible to the public - and they do via their website(s) and their publications on paper that can be found in the public libraries. Now a lot of the grants that I know of that have to do with starting one's own business are being offered by foundations and organizations outside the government which means that there is no one list for all of them. The majority of these organizations have websites along with contact information lncluding an email address, phone number and some of them even have on-line applications where you can just fill it out online and then submit it. What kind of grant programs are out there to start your own business? I have listed information about a few of them on my page about grants. If you are a minority there is a grant program that you can apply for to start your own business. The grant award is $20,000 - BUT - you have to prove to them that you are serious about wanting to start your own business - you have to submit a business plan as part of applying. Who has won this grant in the past? A woman used the grant to start her own film company. Another started their own catering business................. S o you see these grant programs are out there. As far as your bills are concerned there are of course the government programs that help with things like your heating bill, rent/mortgage payments and the like but there are also a number of "financial emergency" grants - BUT - you have to show need. The government grant programs are a bit more complicated in their submission requirements but any social agency should be able to help you with that.
